In 2003, the CBCI created the Political Leadership Development Program “Boot Camp." Every summer for 7 intensive days, participants engage in a candidate-focused curriculum developed and led by campaign experts from various backgrounds.
MISSISSIPPI POLICY CONFERENCE
Every year, we bring community leaders, elected officials and power brokers together in Tunica, Mississippi to engage in conversations about our plight with the hope of educating, motivating, and spurring each other to action.

CBCI has partnered with the Walton Family Foundation (WFF) to offer four new Advocacy and Campaign Training (ACT) Workshops in 2019 in New Orleans, Atlanta, Denver, and Los Angeles. These ACT Workshops will target future leaders who are passionate about civic engagement and advocacy, including those interested in education policy and improving access to high quality educational opportunities for all Americans.
