Janice Griffin has over 25 years of experience as a federal government relations executive. She launched Griffin and Associates in 1999. Prior to 1999, Ms. Griffin was Vice President, Government Relations at Prudential Financial.

Janice Griffin is a veteran Democratic political strategist. She currently serves on the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee.

Ms. Griffin is a founding member and Secretary of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute.
​
Ms. Griffin was Chair of the Women’s Leadership Forum of the Democratic National Committee 1999-2000 and Co-Chair 2005-2008. She was a super delegate to the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions.

Howard Dean also appointed Ms. Griffin to the 2008 Democratic Convention Credentials Committee.

From October 2001 to December 2002, Ms. Griffin volunteered as CEO of Vice President Al Gore’s political action committee, Leadership 02. In this role, she worked directly with Vice President Gore and consulted on his political and public activities. Ms. Griffin was Secretary, Gore/Lieberman 2000.

President Bill Clinton appointed Ms. Griffin to the White House Fellowships Commission. Senator Tom Daschle appointed Ms. Griffin to the Board of the Congressional Award in 1996.
