
Janice Griffin is President and CEO of Griffin & Associates, a government affairs consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. Until March 1999, Ms. Griffin was Vice President, Government Relations for The Prudential Insurance Company of America.
Ms Griffin is a member of the board of directors of City First Bank of DC and its parent holding company, CFBanc Corporation.
In 1999, President Clinton appointed Ms. Griffin to the President's Commission on White House Fellowships. Senator Tom Daschle recently appointed Ms. Griffin to the Congressional Award's national board. Ms. Griffin is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation board of directors and a member of the board of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee. Ms. Griffin is also secretary of the board of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education & Leadership Institute.
Ms. Griffin is a member of the Democratic National Committee where she serves on the Rules and By Laws Committee. Ms. Griffin is a member of the board and secretary of Gore/Lieberman 2000. Ms. Griffin is also co-chair of the Democratic National Committee Women's Vote Center and past national chair of the Democratic National Committee Women's Leadership Forum.
Ms. Griffin is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a member of Leadership America's Class of 1992. Ms. Griffin resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
